August 20-24 Luau is this Friday
Monday Objective: Students will meet in Luau groups and discuss supplies and set-up.
LWD- check supplies, make lists, discuss location of set-up (food items)
Tuesday Objective- Decide on food items for concessions, prices, and set-up.
LWD- Use chrome books for food item ideas
Thursday Objective: Students will work on painting game signs and props.
Friday Objective: Students will hand out Otter pops to the rest of the school during the last
15 minutes of the school day. Set-up cutting stations and garbage cans.
August 27-31
Monday Objective: Students will debrief about the Luau.
LWD-Students will make lists of what to keep and what to change.
Tuesday Objective: Students will work in groups to complete different tasks to plan the Pep Rally
LWD-Students will complete a given task in groups.
Wednesday Objective: Students will work in groups to complete posters for the upcoming school events.
LWD- Students will work together to design and paint event posters.
Friday Objective: Students will complete the posters and choose colors for the spirit wear.
LWD- Students will work together to complete event posters and vote for the upcoming spirit wear colors.
September 4-7
Tuesday Objective: Students will learn how to set up a money drawer.
LWD- Students will work in groups to set up a cash drawer correctly.
Wednesday Objective: Students will learn how to count back change.
LWD- Students will use fake money to count back change.
Friday Objective: Students will come up with incentives for students and staff for the month of September.
LWD- Students will work in groups of 3 to come up with 3 teacher and student incentives for Sept.
examples: Otter pops for the Luau It must be cost effective.

Tuesday Objective: Students will work together to complete a group task.
LWD- students will work to complete the group task from Friday.
Thursday Objective: Students will learn their personal finance project groups.
LWD- Students will meet with their group and choose a personal finance character.
Friday Objective: Students will choose their personal finance character and write descriptive sentences about their character.
LWD- Students will work with their group to write their characters biography.
September 11-15
Monday Objective: Students will receive their first paycheck and learn how to deposit it on their balance sheet.
LWD- Students will deposit their first paychecks and choose a fate card.
Tuesday Objective: Students will review how to deposit a paycheck.
LWD- Students will deposit their 2nd paycheck and choose another fate card.
Wednesday Objective: Students will look for an apartment for their character to rent.
LWD- Students will research apartments and figure out an apartment that they think they can afford.
Friday Objective: Students will learn the ups and downs of getting their own place. Students will learn the costs of buying a car.
LWD- Students will deal with fates that come along with moving into a new place. Students will buy a car and car insurance.
September 17-21
Monday Objectives: Students will practice how to count back change.
LWD- Students will fake cash drawers to practice for the quiz tomorrow.
Tuesday Objectives- Students will show that they know how to count back change.
LWD- Students will complete a quiz on setting up a cash drawer and counting back change.
Thursday Objective: Students will plan their haunted hallway room with their group.
LWD- Students will meet with their groups and plan their HH rooms.
Friday Objective: Students will plan the games for the Pep Rally and hang up posters.
LWD- Students will make a supply list for games and hang up completed posters.
September 24-27 (There is no school on Friday for students.)
Monday Objective: Students will work on Pep Rally preparations.
LWD- Students will use their cooperative skills to plan with other members in their groups.
Tuesday Objective: Students will work on assigned jobs for the Pep Rally.
LWD- Students will work in groups to complete their Pep Rally preparations.
Wednesday Objective: Students will practice the Pep Rally in the gym.
LWD- Students will practice the Pep Rally and solve any problems the arise.
October 1-5
Monday Objective: Students will work in groups to work on their pep rally games. (Complete janitor posters and make cards.)
LWD- Students will be assigned their pep rally jobs. (Hang up Janitor posters during Prime)
Tuesday Objective: Students will work on ideas for the set up of the door decorating contest, pod trick-or-treating, and teacher appreciation.
LWD- Students will work in groups to come up with and share their ideas with peers.
Wednesday Objective: Students will practice the Pep Rally.
LWD- Students will work together to run through the Pep Rally.
Friday Objective: Students will come up with an item for the bake sale that they will be bringing to Haunted Hallways.
LWD- Students will research and come up with a creative item to bring to the bake sale at HH.
October 8-12 (Wednesday is a late start day.)
Monday Objective: Students will prepare for the Pep Rally today.
LWD- Students will meet and discuss their roles in today's pep rally.
Tuesday Objective: Students will present their rooms to the rest of the class and give feedback to peers.
LWD- Students will share their room ideas and discuss improvements that can be made and confusing things that need to be clarified.
Wednesday Objective: Students will work on Halloween themed bake sale items.
Thursday Objective: Students will participate in a double lunch with all of their group members of HH.
LWD- Students will continue with preparations for HH.
Friday Objectives: Students will again have a double lunch to finalize rooms and supplies. Students will work on HH preparations.
October 15-20 Haunted Hallways Friday-Saturday
Monday Objective: Students will make sure that they have everything they need for Friday/Saturday.
LWD- Rooms will meet with the tour guides to make sure everyone is on the right page.
Tuesday Objective: Students will work together to find a way to complete several projects.
LWD- Students will have to brainstorm the best way to complete many tasks.
Wednesday Objective: Students will be completing a Haunted Hallways set-up to make sure they have everything they need.
LWD- Students will work with their group to make sure they are ready to go on Friday.
Friday Objective: Students will be setting up for Haunted Hallways.
October 20-November 2
Objective: Students will be working on various Leadership jobs in and around school to get ready for VIP week and Pod trick-or-treating.
November 5-8 (There is no school on Friday.)
Monday Objective: Students will decide on incentives for orange and grapefruit sales and count out flyers.
LWD- Students will work in groups to come up with incentives and come up with the best way to organize the flyers.
Tuesday Objective: Students will show their understanding of counting back change.
LWD- Students will complete a quiz.
Wednesday Objective: Students will learn why and how to write a resume.
LWD- Students will chose a resume outline and begin making their own resume.

Friday Objective: Students will vote on the charities that were presented before break.
LWD- Students will give a brief review of charity and vote on their favorites.

Monday Obj.: Students will learn what the Personal Finance unit is all about.
LWD- Students will choose a character and be assigned jobs at Taco Bell.
Tuesday Obj.: Students will learn about paychecks and debit cards.
LWD- Students will receive their first paycheck. They will learn about depositing and putting in a savings account.
Wednesday Obj.: Students will create a resume for their character who will be getting a job at Google at the age of 24.
LWD- Students have this class period to create a resume for their character. Best resumes will be managers.
Friday Obj: Students will work on finding an apartment/house they can afford on their salary.
LWD- Students will use newspaper ads to find a place to live that they can afford.
February 4-9
Monday Objective: Students will practice depositing paychecks and paying bills.
LWD- Students will receive their new paycheck amounts, pay bills, and roll for fates.
Tuesday Objective: Students will deposit paychecks, pay rent/bills, and buy a car.
LWD- Students will buy their first car and decide on insurance.
Thursday Objective: Students will pay bills, and roll for fates.
LWD- Students will have a shortened class time to complete PF tasks.
Friday Objective: Students will receive their paycheck, pay bills, roll for fates.

Wed. Objective: Students will get a raise and a new paycheck to see what a difference it can make.

Thursday Objective: Students will learn what is takes to buy a house.

Monday-Friday Leadership students will be working on their Carnival posters, bake sale item ideas, poster slogans, and game ideas and directions.
March 4-7 (No school for students on Friday)
Tuesday Obj. Students will write an announcement for the Carnival.
LWD- Students will write, practice, and present their announcements to peers.
Thursday Obj. Students will create a game layout for the gym.
LWD-Students will create a game layout, share with peers, and vote on the best layout.

Tuesday Obj. Students will work on teacher incentives for St. Patrick's Day.

Wednesday Obj. Students will find inspirational quotes for the teacher incentives.
LWD- Students will use their chrome books to locate appropriate quotes for incentives.
Friday Obj.- Students will complete and deliver teacher St. Patrick Day incentives.

Monday Obj. Students will complete various activities which will be assigned to them.
LWD- Students will work together to accomplish various tasks.
Tuesday Obj. Students will create and complete a checklist of items for the carnival.
LWD- Students will work with a partner to create a checklist for the carnival. Then
they will complete that checklist with their carnival groups.
Thursday Obj. Students will run through their games with their peers.
LWD- Students will show their games to the class and have them try them out. Peers
will evaluate the activity and give constructive suggestions.
Friday Obj. Students will prepare everything for their carnival games.
March 25-29

LWD- Students will come up with a plan of how to break kids into groups coming off of the buses.
Thurs. Obj.: Students will come up with 3 different games to play on the stage.
LWD- Students will work with their partners to come up with three fun activities.
May 13-17
Monday -Friday Obj.: Students will be working on their 5th grade tour assignments. Students will practice what they are going to do for the 5th grade tours.
May 20-21
Monday Obj: Students will practice their tour from beginning to end starting at the front lawn.
Tuesday Obj: WATER PARK DAY Students will be gone all day and will return later in the evening.
Wed. Obj. : Students will be doing a run through of the entire assembly.
Fri. Students will hang up all the posters for the upcoming 6th grade tours.
May 28-31 Wed. Tours!
Tues. Obj.: Students will practice one more time for the the tours tomorrow.
Wed. Obj.: Students will set everything up for the 5th grade tours. (Signs, candy bags, games on stage, group signs, markers for bus hands)
Friday: Students will debrief about tours. They will leave notes for next year. (The good, the bad, the ugly) Eat leftover snacks from the cart.
